Foodbank Queensland relies on the critical support of volunteers, staff and Board members to help Queenslanders struggling in the community. We are excited to announce the addition of 3 new board members for 2018. Ian Mitchell, Mark Reinke and Natasha Olsson-Seeto have all joined the FBQ Board bringing a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to the Foodbank team. Like all of our directors, each offers their time and expertise on a pro bono basis. We welcome them to Foodbank as they join us in the fight against hunger.
Ian joins the board of Foodbank Queensland following a successful executive career with some of Australia’s and Queensland’s iconic brand organisations’ including, Qantas, Tourism Queensland and the RACQ. He currently serves as a member of the Queensland Cricket Board and has also served on a range of boards over a period of 20 years including, Skills Queensland and most recently on the Cairns based indigenous tourism experience Tjapukai.
Ian has joined the Foodbank Queensland team following his positive first experience with the organisation in its formative years and looks forward to contributing to the great work undertaken by Foodbank, it’s staff and volunteers to address the growing hunger relief challenge within Queensland communities.
Mark has 30 years’ experience across Banking, Telecommunications, Construction, Insurance and Packaging industries in Australia and the United States. Most recently Mark was Chief Customer Experience Officer for the Suncorp Group, and brings extensive experience in strategy, marketing, commercial partnerships and digital technology.
Natasha is a founder and the Chief Executive of OnTalent a leading talent advisory firm specializing in recruitment, career development and outplacement services. She has been a leader in the sector for 23 years and is also the Chair of the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association. Natasha’s mission is to ‘Connect People and Purpose’ and she brings broad and valuable connections and deep relationships to support the fabulous work of Food Bank in Queensland.
Sadly though, after 8 years of dedicated service, Katie Mickel has stepped down from the board. Katie has been a tireless advocate for Foodbank during her term and also chaired the Board Marketing & Fundraising Committee. Katie leaves us to focus on her numerous other board roles.
