This week's focus is on fruit, vegetables, and energy levels. Fruit and veggies contain more fibre than most other foods and drinks. Fibre is the indigestible parts of plant foods, including veges, fruits, grains, beans and legumes.
This week we have created healthy comfort food meals, that can easily be prepared for a large family. We have created three warm hearty meals that can be made in bulk in order to either feed a large family or group, or be kept in the freezer for last minute week night meals.
This week we have all used some canned ingredients in our recipes. While it is nice to have fresh fruit and vegetables in your cooking, canned and even frozen vegetables or fruit are great alternatives when they are not on offer or when you are trying to budget.
This week we will be looking at how to create gourmet dinner recipes on a budget. It is important to remember that you can create something delicious and healthy without spending a lot of money. Each meal we have created also has it’s health benefits.
